Shyla Day is a name that rings, but it doesn't shine as bright as her beaming character. Shyla is an award-winning singer/songwriter, print and runway model, recording artist, and performer of sold-out shows at legendary venues like the House of Blues and Whiskey a Go Go. Shyla has been recognized for her newest release, "Kiss Me" by the Los Angeles Music Awards, Akademia Music Awards, Ventura County Music Awards, and Artists in Music Awards. Shyla was the youngest ever nominated in the category for Female Singer/Songwriter of the Year at the Los Angeles Music Awards. Shyla has landed coveted endorsement deals with L.A.-based guitar company Daisy Rock Girl Guitars, Guitar Hands, Thalia Capos, Prov20 Media, and US Music Corps' Oscar Schmidt by Washburn.
Through Shyla's career, her philanthropic efforts have not gone unnoticed- she has worked closely with over 150 charitable organizations. She works as a music teacher, reaching to close to 200 children rotating every 6-week term stretching from Solana Beach to Lakeside. Using her music as a platform, Shyla Day has been representing nonprofit foundation, Peace Friends of Hope Foundation as the celebrity ambassador for 4 years, to raise awareness and allow children to get an education in Uganda, Africa's Kisoro District where an education isn't available freely to its children; especially young girls. She has chosen to raise awareness for different causes and she chooses to be involved heavily with non-profit organizations in the effort to aid those in need. She donated half of her earnings from her first released EP "LIVE at Lestats" to the Love Hope Strength foundation, and she spent 3 of her summers touring with Tunes For Tots to better the community internationally. Shyla is an activist for Anti-Bullying, Cancer Awareness, and non-profit organizations supporting homelessness, low income, and single-family homes. She gives the upmost support, time, and effort into organizations not only internationally, but locally in her hometown of San Diego. Because of her Philanthropic Efforts, she was nominated by a close friend for the 2017 Entrepreneur Awards with the World Networks.
Shyla Day has written as the Music and Entertainment Editor for Manik Magazine, shes written and arranged scores for Movies and live Musical productions, she is a Small Business Champion, model, and she goes to College double time studying for 2 degrees. She is set to graduate with honors, completing the honors program, and with Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society officer involvement. Shyla is competing in the Royal International Beauty Pageant, representing USA. Shyla is working collaboratively with high-fashion Hollywood designers to debut her own fashion collection for "Kiss Me", and she is writing her first album to debut in 2017.
